7 Reasons You Should See “Jobs”

The bio pic “Jobs” on the life of Apple Founder Steve Jobs (starring Aston Kutcher in the title role) opens on Friday.  If you thought the life of industry founder Jobs had been completely milked after books and documentaries galore, you could be forgiven for not wanting to see Kutcher resurrecting the IT giant yet again.

Econ Recon: All Roads Lead to Profits….and The Consumer: Back from The Grave

All Roads Lead to Profits: Economist Brian Wesbury looks at the growth of the economy and the stock market (unemployment rates notwithstanding) and finds little to attribute to the intervention of the Fed and Dr. Bernanke in general and to QE 2 (Quantitative Easing) in particular. If not the Fed, just what does Dr. Wesbury think is driving us forward? Spend six minutes with him on the latest installment of “Wesbury 101” :  All Roads Lead to Profits.

The Consumer: Back from The GraveVistage Staff Economist and ITR Economics Principal Alan Beaulieu sees a sagging economy in early 2014 but growth thereafter. The American Consumer was gravely wounded in 2008 and 2009; some thought mortally. Not so says Alan; the consumer is back from the grave and healing nicely and Alan shares the numbers to prove it. Not only is the consumer healed… but in a position to lead the way out of the mild slump early next year. See his recent blog entry: The Consumer:  Healed and Hero.”
